Community Development

The Community Development Department manages current and long range planning activities, building and code enforcement in the City of Talent.  It is the mission of the Community Development Department to facilitate the development and implementation of the community’s vision for Talent.
 
Community Development is committed to helping the Talent community achieve its vision as outlined in the City’s Comprehensive Plan and other adopted planning documents.  We strive to enhance the livability of Talent by protecting natural resources and community sustainability while encouraging a healthy, economic and business environment.

Are you interested in learning more about the City of Talent Buildable Lands Inventory? Our Buildable Lands Inventory (BLI) aims to establish current conditions within a city and measure how much buildable land exists within a city. This process provides a snapshot of how much development a city currently has and what development can take place given existing Zoning, Comprehensive Plan Designations, environmental constraints, and other development considerations.
