2024 Election Information

Here is what you need to know to get started! 

The City of Talent and the Jackson County Elections Office will be holding elections to fill City Council positions 2, 4, and 6 during the November 5, 2024 General Election. Elected candidates will then serve a 4-year term starting from January 1st, 2025, to December 31, 2028.

Candidates running for City office in the 2024 election must meet specific eligibility criteria outlined in the Oregon Constitution and the City of Talent City Charter. Candidates for City Council seats must be registered voters and reside within the city limits prior to the November 5, 2024, election.

To apply for candidacy, please contact the City of Talent Elections Officer to receive an application and detailed instructions. You can reach the Elections Officer via email at cityrecorder@cityoftalent.org or by visiting City Hall located at 110 E. Main St. during regular business hours, Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM. Please note that the deadline to submit your application is August 20, 2024. After this date, it may not be possible for the Jackson County Elections Office to complete signature verification.
