Volunteers Needed to Help at Recycle Round-up

What: Volunteer for a few hours to assist in a citywide effort to recycle unwanted items and prevent them from ending up in landfills.
Where: Talent City Hall Parking Lot.
When: September 23, 2023, 3 shifts: 8:00am to 11:15am; 11:00am to 3:15pm; 3:00pm to 5:15pm
Volunteers are needed to help unload vehicles, keep traffic moving around City Hall, and guide people to the appropriate drop-off point. We plan to have at least one person at each collection station to help move items from vehicles into a container or pallet. No one person should lift more than 25 pounds.

Volunteers will also direct the flow of traffic and provide information, e.g. simple maps of the City Hall parking showing where each collection company (e.g. Recology, Habitat, Get-N-Gear, Schnitzer Steel, etc.) is located and the route around City Hall. There will also be a list of recycling locations from Medford to Ashland, for general reference throughout the year.
