LATERAL OR ENTRY LEVEL POLICE OFFICER
The City of Talent is accepting applications for the position of an Entry Level or Lateral Talent Police Officer. A police officer is charged with the responsibility of fulfilling the police mission of protecting life, property, and preserving order; prevents and represses crime through patrol and investigative activities; enforces city ordinances, state, and federal laws; apprehends offenders and secures compliance in lesser non-criminal matters; performs other related activities in assisting the public; performs other duties as assigned.

All entry level candidates must take the Frontline National exam through National Testing Network to be considered further in the hiring process. Frontline National exam results are considered valid if taken within the last 6 months.
The department also requires entry level candidates to complete Public Safety Self-Assessment (PSSA) Parts 1 & 2 as well as the PHQ. You can access these through your candidate account. NTN suggests completing the PSSA and PHQ as soon as possible so there is not a delay in the processing of your application.
All requirements must be completed PRIOR to the deadline listed to be considered for this review.
