TALENT, OR (May 16, 2018) -- There are still three vacancies on the Citizen Advisory Committee for the Energy Element.

The Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) for the Energy Element Comprehensive Plan amendment is a committee that will work with City staff, consultants, and other stakeholders to develop policies specific to energy generation and conservation and present a recommendation to the Talent Planning Commission. The CAC will work to refine draft policies derived from the Talent Clean Energy Plan and will include specific objectives and implementation steps in line with Talent's commitment to clean energy.
The committee meetings shall be governed by Oregon Public Meeting Law and shall include a meeting agenda that provides an opportunity for public comment. Meetings will be held as necessary and agendas and other information will be available for review seven days prior to the scheduled meeting.
The committee will be asked to make a recommendation to the Talent Planning Commission. The recommendation shall include policies, objectives and implementation strategies and steps consistent with the Talent Clean Energy Plan and Goal 6 and Goal 13 of the Oregon Statewide Planning Goals.
