Citizen Involvement Element Subcommittee Meeting

The City of Talent is in the beginning stages of developing a Citizen Involvement Element for it Comprehensive Plan.  Goal 1 of the Oregon Statewide Planning Goals requires the City to adopt a comprehensive plan element that guides the City in the formation of a program for citizen involvement, including procedures by which the general public will be involved in the on-going land use planning process.  

The citizen involvement program is required to incorporate the following components:  
1.  Citizen Involvement
2.  Communication
3.  Citizen Influence
4.  Technical Information
5.  Feedback Mechanisms
6.  Financial Support

Goal 1:  Citizen Involvement (OAR 660-015-0000(1))

A subcommittee of the Planning Commission will hold their next meeting on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 12 PM at City Hall in the Large Conference Room.  City Hall is located at 110 E. Main St. in Talent.  As the subcommittee continues to work to complete the draft document, information will be made available on the City's long-range planning page.  The official record for this project can be found by clicking on the link below.
